Thai Yoga Massage Therapy

What is Thai Yoga Massage Therapy?

Thai Yoga Massage is a type of massage that is preformed on the floor, on a large specialized mat. This treatment is done over your clothes and it's recommended you wear something comfortable to move and stretch in.  For example yoga pants or track pants and a t-shirt are a great choice.  During your treatment I will take you through a routine of stretches and muscle work.  I will be calling mine "Thai Yoga Massage Therapy".  As a Registered Massage Therapist, I can add in Massage Therapy techniques to enhance the traditional Thai Yoga Massage for your experience AND this way it is covered by your benefits as Massage Therapy.  No prior yoga experience is needed.

What is the process?

On your first visit you and your practitioner will discuss what you wish to get out of your therapy. Problem areas are noted and treatment begins.

Your treatment is typically one hour or an hour and a half long depending on what you and the therapist agree upon. Continued dialogue after the first treatment will give your therapist important information on how your body is responding. The goal is always to provide safe and effective treatment.

The massage is done on your shoulders, back, legs, feet, arms, neck and face using my hands, forearms, elbows and feet.  You are always invited to give feedback on pressure and comfort and you will have the choice to omit any areas you're uncomfortable with at the time of the appointment.
